I strongly believe that there is no feeling in the world greater than cuddling up with a book when it's cold and rainy outside. We got bi-fold doors put into our sitting room last year for the sole reason of being able to sit and watch the weather outside from the sofa — bliss! 👏
Your comment about watching the sunset from the trampoline transported me right back to my childhood. I used to love to do that 🧡 sometimes with a pillow and quilt too.
Me too! My aunty and uncle had a pool and we used to swim in the pool until we got cold then jump on the trampoline until we got warm again, switching back and forth all day. 🥰
I love seeing some of your outdoor space! Your garden beds are gorgeous! We're rereading the Harry Potter books together right now too but I'm going to add the Wild Robot books to our read-next list. We tried the first one several years ago but I think my kids were too young then. I didn't know there was a movie though!
These are wonderful glimmers! Apple blossoms are so very exciting and your vege garden looks like it is thriving. Hopefully you have a prosperous season ahead.
Hi Katie! Loved your list! Sydney Spring is lovely also. Some glimmers include, spring blooms in my garden like tulips, hyacinths daffodils, lots of lavender and ranunculus. School holidays have meant trips to the grounds of Alexandria (a must if you're ever in Sydney) lots of dog walks with our pups, trips to the bookstore and candle making with my daughter.
A family member actually got married at the Grounds of Alexandria, so I have been once! It was beautiful. Trips to the bookstore and candle making are two of my very favourite things too. Thank you for sharing, Zohra! 🥰
There is so much to be grateful for and enchanted by at this time of year. Every time I walk outside I'm delighted by little stirrings. Our apple, cherry and nashi pear trees are flush with blossom and tiny plums, apricots and peaches are growing. I'm loving inhaling the lilacs and watching the painted lady butterflies dance throughout the garden 🦋 Wishing your sweet little seedlings a happy start in your pretty garden Katie 🌱
It is such a beautiful time of year and the change of season has got me feeling so energised and inspired! I’m jealous of your lilacs. We had a lilac tree at our old house and it was absolutely glorious in Spring. 🥰
My son is nine and we weren’t sure how he’d go with the pottery wheel as it does require a little bit of strength and coordination, but he absolutely smashed it! Turns out he’s a natural. 💕
I really enjoyed reading your list Katie. It is quite cold here early morning in the UK and I have just finished harvesting my pumpkins. I love your lovely view to see the sunset 🌼
I grew up in QLD but live in Victoria now and I miss the Jacarandas so much! They are so, so magical at this time of year. We do have a few around here but they don’t flower until much later in the season and it’s not the same…
I’ve never heard the term “glimmers” before, but I quite like it. I enjoyed your list! I love the glimmer about your son’s little notes—my son is learning how to write now, so something for me to look forward to!

I 100% agree with you! Best feeling in the world. 🥰

We all loved the movie! Highly recommend. But do take tissues! 😭❤️

Wishing you a prosperous summer season too, beautiful Steph! 🌱✨💕

Love reading your blogs again. ❤️
Thanks Pamela. I’m so grateful you’re still here reading!! 🥰❤️
A family pottery class sounds so fun! My son is only a year old, but maybe in a few years 😉 happy spring to you!

Cold mornings and homegrown pumpkin sound so, so cozy! Happy autumn to you, Clare. 🥰
Loved this! I've been enjoying the jacaranda trees by me (in Brisbane) blooming. So much colour everywhere all of a sudden!
